What Toorf is for

Toorf is a realtime web app for live voice sessions and place-based experiences. You can join a Voice Book, talk with a companion, and, when you allow it, share your location so the network can respond to where you are.

Signing in with Google is optional. When you do, we use it to identify your account.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Toorf (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, apps, Voice Books, and related services (the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the Services; authenticate users; operate live sessions; communicate about the Services; protect against abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us host or operate the Services, with other participants in a session you join, and with authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Google account and API data

If you sign in with Google, we request your name, email address, and basic profile (the openid, email, and profile scopes) and use them only to identify your Toorf account. We do not use that sign-in to read any other Google data.

Toorf’s own platform mailbox may use the Gmail API send scope to send mail from Toorf. That connection is not your inbox, and we do not request access to your Gmail. Google user data we do receive is used only to provide these features. We do not sell it.

4. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described here, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. Contact us using the details below.

7. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
